Sorry.

I'm sorry to everyone that posts on this journal. I know you get an e-mail everytime someone makes a comment or post, so you know that some company made 8 comments on the journal. I tried blocking their IP to stop this, but every post was done with a different IP so this was proven imposible. So, thanks to them I will no longer allow non-member comments. Sorry.

Take care.

Hey

Hey everyone! Sorry about another short pause from posting, I’ve been pretty busy lately. I’ve been working full time at the mall and then hanging out with the boys whenever I have time. I haven’t been able to get on much lately because of that. I guess it’s expected, though.

Yesterday I got to vote for the first time, which was pretty exciting! Not the actual process, of course, but the thought of it. Dad, Dr. Quest, and I all went together. I went to work right away after voting and just got back, so I’m not sure who is winning. Oh well, hopefully I’ll know in the morning.

I’m sorry things have been so quiet around here. :/ Mom has been busy with a dig and dad and Dr. Quest have been living their normal lives. Well, at least it’s normal to them, maybe not the rest of the world. I’m not sure about the boys, I don’t know what they do while I’m at work, but I’m sure it’s productive. That is if you call video games and watching movies productive. Pfft… Just kidding, guys!

Anyway, I am really tired; today was a long, tiring day. I’m going to go right to bed. It’s 3:30 in the morning anyway…

17 October

Hey again!

The last week has been really odd. Jonny and Hadji have been busy programming a game… Without me! So, I’ve been pretty angry with them. They didn’t even ask me! I guess they just want to spend some time alone. Since we’re all at that age where people start to move out. So, I understand… But I’d like to spend some alone time with both of them too. I know I’m not as close to either of them as they are to each other, but I think we’re still pretty close. So Jonny and Hadji, if you read this, lets do something!

That reminds me, I’ve been considering what I want to do after high school. I’m looking at some colleges right now. I can’t decide whether I want to go as far away as I can or stay close by. I guess this last year will decide that for me.
I’m filling out tons of college applications right now; it’s one of the more boring and scary things you can ever do. It’s kind of scary to think that this time next year I’m going to be completely on my own… I guess everyone goes through that at this age.

I just got a job at the mall; I figured that if I’m going to go to college, I better have a way to pay for it and my living expenses. I hope it’s going to go well. I’m just going to be running a cash register at a clothes store. Nothing too interesting, but I’m excited.

Anyway, I have to get going. I want to take a walk before dinner. Bye!

10 October

Hello everyone :o)

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven’t been making posts for a while; Things have been pretty crazy around the compound. There have been quite a few odd things going on. We’ve had a couple run-ins with the infamous Dr. Surd… He’s really starting to get annoying.

Anyway, tonight was the first chance I had to really just sit down and relax, so I figured that I’d put down my book and come leave a message.

I’m thinking about spending some time with mom on a dig; I haven’t been able to spend too much time with her since I turned 18, so it’ll be good to spend a few weeks with her. And doing something I enjoy as well. I have to admit, though, I will miss the guys like mad. Well, I guess you can’t have a positive without a negative.

Earlier today, Jonny and I were outside playing with Bandit. Here’s a picture for you:

Anyway, I need to make this short. I just heard the guys outside. They must be back from the movie.

Adios,
Jessie

8 October 2004

I am finally back on my feet; however, now there is some flooding at the Malenque that is preventing any progress with the excavation. Perhaps now would be a good time for you to visit me, mi'ja?

Este no es un dia como los otros,

Estella.

26 September

26 September

Nobody has been entering anything into this journal...

We have all been very busy, no? However, I at the moment, am not busy, so I shall write something.

For starters--The conference was cancelled by the Indian government. It strikes me as quite suspicious, as they have also closed off the site of the excavation. I have not heard anything from any of the archaeologists that were involved with this site, either...It has caused me a great amount of concern.

I have not been on my own excavation for the past couple of weeks, either, as I have been quite ill...It started out as a minor head cold, but the humidity of the area as well as a few unusually cold nights gave me pneumonia. I had to be hospitalized for a couple of days; however, I am now back at my home in Bogota.

I must go for now, for I am quite tired. I hope to hear from you all very soon.

Hasta luego--Estella.

21 July

Work it! Oh yeah!

Since Race has been all over me like white on rice lately I've been putting on some serious meat. Oh yeah, I'm lookin' studly!

I want to buy a copy of Doom III to hack for Questworld. Doesn't that sound cool? The hardest part is updating the games graphics to suit the Questworld environment, and converting the wire frames of the avatars to work with Questworld's custom avatars. I should have it done pretty fast though. Maybe I'll go pick up a copy tomorrow.

I'm going to work on a general graphics upgrade for now; I think Dad's messing with the mainframe security anyway. The hair is in solid parts and I think I can make it look more real.

I guess I'm just rambling about stuff no one cares about now. :) Someone go find some aliens or mutants or something to distract me!

The darn dress

Whadya expect? Me promoting that dress? My ponchita is too young to be wearing those kindsa dresses and I'll be damned to say "hey, it's lookin' good, you want another one of these?" - *shakes his head*

Be careful what you say to her, Jonny. You wanna see her in that dress a lot, huh? Then I wanna see you in the gym even more.

Estella, I called you to talk to you *ahem* and of course, discuss this; Jess has no business wearing dresses like this one. She's too young. I was hoping that it could wait till she was 40 or 50, but even that is too young for me. To that respect, she's too young to be dating. *shakes his head "no"*

Anyways, *embarassed chuckle* keep in mind what I said. Jess, I need to have a word with you now. And Jonny? *chuckling* see you in the gym (or you might call it hell) tomorrow.

Until then, later Questors.

Race Bannon signin out ;)

Oops...

Ay, dios mio!

Race took the news of the dress a little worse than I had thought that he would...The man actually took the time to call me (long distance) and give me a piece of his mind. Sorry, Mija--But I do not believe that you will be allowed to venture out into public for quite a while after this...

Pues...I cannot really stay on-line for very much longer; however, I would like to know if you will be attending the convention that is taking place in two weeks in Calcutta--I believe that they have uncovered quite an interesting find in the surrounding area that you will find quite intriguing.

Te deseo paz.

Checking In

Home again, home again, jiggidy jig.

So suddenly is dawns on me that this is the last Summer of my life. Well, not really, but you catch my drift, right? I mean, next Summer I'll have graduated high school and I'll have to get ready for college and ready to get serious about Quest Enterprises, as I'll be turning 18 after Summer ends.

I never thought about this kind of responsibility before. I always figured it was my responsibility to help people and do good. You know, when I see someone in trouble its my responsibility to help them. But get a job? Its too strange for school, I'll tell you that much.

Oh well, I don't want to think about it yet. I guess I should thank Dad for giving me enough notice so I can really appreciate this next year. :)

The sun's starting to move out. Hadji wanted Jess and me to meet him in the Lighthouse at 7:00, so I guess I'd better get my shoes. Peace!

Hello All!

Hello, this is Estella--Jessie requested that I write in this journal so that we may all see how the other members of the extended Quest family are doing.
As Mija wrote earlier, she and I were visiting some of la familia in Espana...It was rather pleasant, as my father owns a villa on the outskirts of Seville, and it was large enough to accomodate all six of my siblings and their families. It is rather difficult to have family gatherings any more, as many of us have moved away from the region of Colombia that we had grown up in.
I believe that Jessie had a good time; however, I hope that she does not inform her father of the dress that I assisted her in purchasing...I believe that it is un poco too adult for his tastes--Nothing questionable, but it is more mature clothing than Roger is used to seeing her wear. He seems to be having a difficult time in accepting that his Ponchita is growing up.
At the moment, I am back at the ruins of Malenque working on a dig--I am extremely fortuneate to have a satellite hookup for the internet. I would write more, however I must get back to my work, as we are in a rather important phase of the excavation at this time. I will write again soon.

Salud!

Jessie posting again

Hey everybody! Sorry about the little lack of posting.. A lot has been going on. Remember that little announcement I was talking about last time I posted? Well, turns out that he is passing almost everything onto Jonny on his 18th birthday. Which will be coming up here this next year. 50% Dr. Quest’s enterprise is going to belong to Jonny.. I think Jonny’s a little freaked out by it.. Well, that’s the understatement of the year. He isn’t showing it in front of his dad or anything, but yesterday I walked in to say goodnight to him because he was acting a little weird all night, and he was sitting there staring at the wall on the verge of tears. I think he’s afraid he’s going to fail. Which is silly, because this is Jonny we’re talking about.. He’ll pull through. Plus his dad is still going to be there 100%. Helping out until Jonny gets the hang of everything. I think he knew the day was coming, he just didn’t realize that it was so soon. I think Dr. Quest really wants Jonny involved with his work, and get to know him a little more. Most things that Jonny knows he has been taught by my dad, so Dr. Quest really wants to be closer to him as he’s getting older. Which is completely understandable. I think that’s a lot of the reason he didn’t give him the whole company at once.. So they’ll be working side to side. Partners in the work place. It’s kind of a sweet idea, don’t you think? Plus, it gives Jonny some room to decide if he doesn’t want to do that, and has another passion or something. Anyway, I’m going to go check on Jonny.. Last I knew he was sitting outside by the Ocean just sitting there… I want to make sure he’s okay. I’ll be sure to post more often.
…Till then

04 July

Happy 4th of July!

Hey! We just got back from a picnic.. It was beautiful! Dr. Quest really knows how to pick great places! We're going to a fireworks display tonight. Not too many people are coming.. It's going to be us 5 (6 if you count Bandit), and we're allowed to bring a date.. Well, unless Race is your father, then you're allowed to bring a straight female friend... Oh, well, it'll be fun anyway. I heard Dr. Quest put a lot of money into it. He rented a football field and hired professionals. I think he wants tonight to be special for everyone for some reason.. Earlier today he told us that he has some important news and that he'll tell us after the fireworks. I really wonder what it is.. Oh well, we'll find out tonight, I guess.
I haven't really met anyone here, so I need to find someone to come with me. The guys have no problem with that, of course.. Oh well, I'm going to go look for someone. Bye for now!

(btw, thanks for joining us, Jonny)

JQ, Reporting

Jessie's been bugging me to post in this thing but I guess it slipped my mind. :)

We spent most of the day out in the water. The waves were slammin'! It was a great day to be outside with family. Its a lot hotter here than it is at home. I hope the weather is this beautiful tomorrow!

Its really late... I think everyone else is asleep already. I know Race is going to drag me out of bed by my hair at some miserable hour of the morning.

Jonny Quest, signing off!

Just got in

We just got here a few hours ago.. I know it's late at night, but it's beautiful! The house is about 100 (or so) feet from the shore.. So, we can just walk over there and sit out there.. It's amazing! I'm going to hate when it comes time to leave. And the weather is nice and warm, it goes really well with the wind. I love it here! Anyway, I just wanted to tell you that we made it in.. I'm going to take a walk and enjoy the water, then get some rest. I'll write in a day or so. Take care!
